About

We built this because we needed it.

In 2024 we were two indie engineers paying $99/mo for a markets API on a portfolio tracker that hadn't yet earned a single euro. Every month, logging into the dashboard felt like watching ourselves get slowly portioned out of our own runway. The provider was fine. The data was fine. The price was just wrong for the use case.

We looked at the budget incumbent — $29/mo, no fundamentals on the entry tier, no proper EUR invoicing, no SEPA. We looked at the legacy provider — $499/mo plus a sales call. Neither served indie devs. Both seemed to assume that everyone shipping fintech is either a bedroom hobbyist who doesn't deserve fundamentals, or a bank with a six-figure data budget.

So we built the thing in between. €19/mo is the price we wanted to pay ourselves. 15-minute delayed quotes is the level of fidelity we needed. Fundamentals on the entry tier — yes, even on Indie — is the obvious thing nobody else does because it makes the spreadsheet harder.

What we believe

Building in public

Our roadmap is on GitHub. Our changelog is the blog. We post a quarterly metrics update with ARR, gross margin, and infrastructure spend. The point is not transparency theater — it's that we want the next indie API builder to have the playbook we wish we'd had. If you're building one yourself, our DMs are open.

Where we are

Incorporated in Ireland. Servers in EU-West (primary) and US-East (secondary). The team is currently 2 founders + 1 contractor in 3 time zones. We will probably stay deliberately small for as long as we can.

Talk to us

Email hello@oneapi.finance. We read every message and we reply within a business day. If you're stuck choosing between us and someone else and want a candid take, we will give one.

Try the API the founders use every day.

Same endpoints, same delays, same prices we'd give ourselves.
